lets face it, there are many posts and replies about nonsensical bullshit that has nothing to do with the jw's.

what purpose does it serve?

Some are here to hug and encourage, which is rightly so, as it is a viatl part of this board - but cheeses is here to torment persons such as yourselves, who are very similar to the chap depicted in my avatar. But in your situation, your head has probably been up your arse for so long that you can no longer recall what daylight is like.

Brownnoseboy. Finally your delusions of grandeur have been expressed - you signed off as "A chosen one" - by whom?, and for what purpose? Could it be to become a pissing post or a target of mockery by those here who just 'love' self righteous gits such as yourself.

when you were an elder what sucked most....conducting the schoolconducting the book studyconducting the wt study (having to listen to sister know it all answer over and over...)giving public talks (trying to squeeze sense out of a one page summary of total crap)being an attendant at assembliesbeing food/cleaning/work overseer at assemblies & quickbuildsauditing the finances/paying in contributions at the banktaking the lead in unassigned territory serviceshepherding calls !!!!!

To Dubs and Newly Ex-Dubs

i'd like to do a little informal survey.

i'm wondering how many pieces of literature are actually distributed to the public.

not how many pieces are reported placed, but actually placed.

Considering that the dubs preaching activity in all its forms, and especially the door-to-doorTM witnessing, is so foreign to ordinary human nature, it should not be surprising to discover that that most recognisable trait of being a dub i.e. untruths and deception, should come to the fore when it is necessary to reveal to 'the higher authorities' just how successful a dub has been with his efforts to extoll a fantasy and futuristic lifestyle.

As has been stated, it was hard enough to give the mags away, let alone try to 'place' (read sell) to a gullible unbeliever (not that the dubs ever thought they deserved them anyway). I was forever cutting back on my magazine order, and still found myself throwing more away than I ever placed. What a tragic waste of a vital resource i.e paper.

And as for 'fudging' the time card - well a tried and proven method that was inculcated (don't you just love that word?) in me, was to place a mag with a back call before meeting with the group for field service and to count your time from that moment until you finished for the day. Of course this meant if you had a lot of rural territory to cover that you placed another mag when you returned near your home. Hell, someone had to cover your travelling time.

'cause today marks the first anniversary of cheeses' posting on jwd.

from the time i da'd until i found jwd i gave very little thought to the dubs, but i must admit that it has been a pleasure to 'associate' with other like minded individuals from many places around the world who in many cases have been caused to suffer very adverse consequences because of their involvement with the cult.

i count myself blessed in so much as my time with the cult has not been a big burden to bear.

From the time I DA'd until I found JWD I gave very little thought to the dubs, but I must admit that it has been a pleasure to 'associate' with other like minded individuals from many places around the world who in many cases have been caused to suffer very adverse consequences because of their involvement with the cult. I count myself blessed in so much as my time with the cult has not been a big burden to bear. I guess that it why I can adopt a more light hearted attitude to the way I approach some of the subjects raised here.
